“Build a life around your values, not your desires.”
This was my favorite piece of advice from Dayle Haddon during our June webinar on life transitions. In our conversation, she shared the hard-earned wisdom she gained over her last seven decades as a supermodel, CEO, UNICEF Ambassador, and founder of her nonprofit WomenOne focused on the education of girls globally.
She reflected on how both love and loss helped to shape who she was, and who she wanted to be. “Don’t let other people tell you your truth,” she offered when I asked for her best piece of advice to women persevering through their own highs and lows during this COVID-transition.
Plus don’t miss our new Financial Feminist feature on Linda Zhang who built a career around her core values as a female immigrant to the US at 8 years of age, speaking only Mandarin, and is now the lead engineer at Ford bringing one of our most iconic "American" pickup trucks into the future of all-electric vehicles.
That's right, a female immigrant who came to the United States at 8 years of age, speaking only Mandarin, is the lead engineer on the effort to bring one of our most iconically "American" pickup trucks into the future of all-electric vehicles.
